Hands-on Course: Bone or Tissue - What's the Issue?
Tutor: Dr. Harald P. Hüskens, Germany
09 May, 2015 / 14:30 - 18:30
The Hands-on is part of 10th CAD/CAM & Digital Dentistry International Conference, 8-9 May 2015, CAPP Continuing Dental Education Series 2015
Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai, UAE

Course Description:
Hard Tissue or Soft Tissue? What’s the key to long time success in Implantology using CAD/CAM technologies? How to build up bone in sufficient quantity, how to reach best possible bone quality in the implantation area? How to get a stable and aesthetic soft tissue at the implant?
All these questions - and more - will be answered and explained in the theoretical part. In the practical part we will demonstrate and train the surgical techniques and the use of latest digital techniques. The workshop is considered for advanced and professional users in Implantology and Soft Tissue Surgery. The workshop is splitted into two parts, a theoretical part with lecture and a practical part on model (Animal or plastic model. Animal model will be lamb head). In the theoretical part an overview on accessible materials and proven techniques will be given. Similarities and differences of the materials (eg Free Gingiva Graft vs. Collagen Tissue Matrix) will be shown and explained. Both parts will contain bone reconstruction with the use of particulate bone graft material and membranes in simultaneous and two stage technique. Soft Tissue surgery is more and more important an implant planning to receive good long term results and satisfied patients. To enable the users offer their patients the best possible result under the use of all available CAD CAM techniques and materials is the goal of this workshop.
Course Objectives - at the end of the program, the participants will be able to:
• Overview on available materials in Soft Tissue Surgery
• Overview on Techniques in Soft Tissue Surgery
• Advanced Knowledge and practice on important techniques - Importance of pre-surgical soft tissue planning
• Importance of pre-surgical soft tissue planning

Dr. Morten Worsøe Hands-on Course:
Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics and
Implant Crown/Abutment Design
09 May, 2015 / 13:00 – 17:00
Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai, UAE
10th CAD/CAM & Digital Dentistry Int`l Conference, 6-10 May 2015, Dubai, UAE

The workshop is designated ceramic reconstruction users with more than one year experience. The course will start with a short lecture on implant supra-structures made with the ceramic reconstruction Chairside system. The participants will during the workshop get a thorough insight in the manufacturing process - step by step. During the workshop you will scan and design a case to get the necessary knowledge to manage this technic. We will go through the basic ceramic reconstruction 5-step design technic to create a fundament for fast and efficient workflow. This will help you in designing almost any restoration and we will use this knowledge in the hands-on case. We will discuss full anatomic screw retained crowns vs split crowns with opaque abutments and cemented crowns. We will discuss tips and tricks, risk factors and how do we ensure longevity, high esthetics and beautiful morphology. We will also discuss custom-made healing abutments and walk through the workflow. Most of the workshop will be done directly on the ceramic reconstruction omnicam and the participants will be able to follow to procedures working in pairs.

OBJECTIVES - at the end of the program, the participants will be able to:
- Safely and efficiently create their own implant restorations
- Understand and master the 5 step design method
- Create customized healing abutments for perfect tissue management
- Understand indications and applications for ceramic reconstruction manufactured abutments
- Master both full and split implant crowns on the ceramic reconstruction system

13.00 - 13.15 - Introduction, evidences, prognosis, applications and risk assessment
13.15 - 13.30 - Implant system background, theory, challenges
13.30 - 14.15 - Hands-on: Full anatomic screw retained based on the 5 step design method
14.45 - 15.15 - Coffee break
15.15 - 15.45 - Hands-on: Spilt crowns
15.45 - 16.30 - Hands-on: Healing abutments
16.30 - 17.00 - Conclusions, questions and discussion
